Demon Van - The Trilogy

I called the dealership just now. They are waiting for a call back from the lender to see if we’re approve for a vehicle that they want to sell to us. I don’t know what it is. Why? Because they ALWAYS do this… say they have a wicked vehicle for us, we get excited, and then the lender says “NO”. So this time I told them to figure it all out first, and THEN let me decide if I want the car or not. The problem is that I’m “approved” but then the lender says “Oh, but not for THAT car…” even though it’s within the amount I’m approved for…

And it wouldn’t be SO bad, but I ripped out my Sirius (completely by accident!) and am holding off on having it reinstalled until someone makes a decision - either we keep the Demon Van, or we get something NEW! In any case, I’m hoping by tomorrow we’ll know.

[edit: I have been told that I WILL know by tomorrow @ noon...]

Also, DH decided that I should get a tattoo for my birthday. Which is cool, because I’ve been wanting one for…. oh, forever. I even have the design all ready for it. The only problem I have is WHERE to put it. I also have reservations about about getting it because, well…what if I were pregnant when I had it done. I mean, only a few weeks, and still not know it? I wouldn’t want to take that kind of risk. I already feel terrible enough about going in the hot tub while I was PG last time — at that point I didn’t know I was. I don’t think I could live with myself if I did something like that again and lost another pregnancy. *sigh*

So this really brings me to my question — what should I get for my Birthday?? “I know! I know! A new car….” *snicker*

Oh, dear…

Erin, I read about your desire for a tattoo, and I had to write. All I’m gonna say is that there are MANY things that set me apart from the rest of the ladies out there. There are a lot of things that set me apart from the rest of the world, and the rest of people regarding my body, the skin I was born in, my birthday suit. You wanna know what one of those things is? Now, I’m not being a “smart-ass” when I say this, but MY BODY IS BEAUTIFULLY mark-free. Yep, not many ladies, men, nor everyday people can say that. There’s not too many people that can say that they don’t have a tattoo. There’s not too many people who have a tattoo(s) that don’t regret having it/them.

Okay, I gonna give you my advice, even though you didn’t ask for it. Also, please, please understand that my “tone” is NOT in any way angry, mean, or snooty. That being said, why not get a fake one first? Yes, get one that will not be forever because once you get one…(you know)… My father, got a couple homeade “tatts” when he was a teen, and now, he is EXTREMELY embarrassed of them. He is so ashamed of them, sometimes there’s not a conversation that goes by without him talking about how much he despises them. I think that’s why I never got one, even though I do get tempted, every so often. My sister has one on her wrist, and, now that she has her Master’s Degree, AND a professional career, I think she may feel a different way about it. I mean, it’s of a cat, and it’s pretty big, no way to really cover it up, unless she wants to wear a HUGE leather-type, snap-on bracelet. (Do) you know what I mean? Practice first, PLEASE!

In response to Brooke - I love my tattoo.

I have a tattoo on my shoulder that says “Made in Canada - 10-19-1979 - Fait Au Canada ”

I very much want another - but I haven’t decided (exactly) what it is going to be yet, nor do I have the $$ to afford it when I have it decided.

In fact, I would say the vast majority of people I know with tats love them - whether they are old or young.

It’s difficult now in most places I know of to get a (professional) tat when you are drunk or high, contrary to the “old days”. Now, you have to actually plan it, and pay for it, and since tattooing is becoming recognized as an art itself the service is starting to cost more than it has historically as well. All things that seem to make people think twice before they get one.

Now, to E-Dawg. What do you want to get, if I may ask, and why is it bad to get one if you are PG?
